NAME

wex - Filter for selecting win format filter by zone name

SYNOPSIS

wex zone ...

DESCRIPTION

Wex makes a win format file given by the standard input to be input and cuts out only channels of observation points contained in zone name ( zone ... ) given as argument to send a copy to the standard output. Observation point names can be given instead of zone names. However, in such cases, all channels of observation points in the zone including that observation point are transmitted.

In order to obtain a channel number from the zone name or the observation point name, wex utilizes a channel table file and a zone table file specified by win.prm existing in the current directory. When no win.prm is found, it attempts to use /dat/etc/channels.tbl and /dat/etc/zones.tbl respectively.

Wex is shell script utilizing wch(1W).
